Pathways Solar Energy Brokers - Our ServicesAt Pathways Solar Energy Brokers, we analyze your energy requirements and put you on the pathway to SAVINGS through solar and energy efficiency retrofits. Residential and Commercial Services • Grid-tied Solar PV Electric Systems Four Easy Steps to Energy Savings with Pathways 1. We meet with you to assess the location, aesthetics, feasibility, costs, equipment and solar economics (offset of electricity and bill from PG&E). We provide a "sample" quote to illustrate the approximate costs, offsets and cash flows. 2. Once you are ready and want to move forward, we perform a full site evaluation (roof measurements, roof pitch, azimuth to the sun, and shading calculations). From there, we prepare a Request for Proposal that we email to 3 of our hand-picked local solar installation partners. These companies have been thoroughly vetted and have demonstrated an excellent track record. 3. When we receive the 3 quotes, we meet with you to analyze the bids and select the one that best suits your needs. 4. The winning company then contracts with you for the solar installation. Pathways acts as your advocate throughout the entire process.
Solar ResourcesWhat is a watt, a kilowatt, a megawatt? Watts (W) are the yardstick for measuring power. A one hundred watt light bulb, for example, is rated to consume one hundred watts of power when turned on. If such a light bulb were on for four hours it would consume a total of 400 watt-hours (Wh) of energy. Watts, therefore, measure instantaneous power while watt-hours measure the total amount of energy consumed over a period of time. A kilowatt is 1,000 watts and a megawatt is 1,000 kilowatts. An average sized home can be powered electrically by about 3 or 4 kilowatts. How to go Solar for your home or business • Contact Pathways energy for a free site inspection and consultation. How to obtain your PG&E usage information in preparation for our meeting: Click here to set up a PG&E user account. Or Click here to log into an existing account. 1. If you have just created an account, it may take up to 24 hours before your usage history becomes available. 3. Click on "Usage" on the left hand side of the screen. 4. Click on the "Usage History" tab at the top of the table. 5. Click on the "Download" tab at top right of the table. 6. Click "Save" and save the file on your computer. 7. Attach the file to an e-mail and send it to: savings@pathwaysenergy.com Or call PG&E at 800.743.5000 (when prompted hit ‘*’ then say ‘agent: previous electric use’) and they will tell you your usage over the phone. Alternately you can find this information on your bills. The format that works best is a monthly breakdown of your usage over the past 12 months. Please also include your PG&E electric and gas rate schedules (e.g. "E1-XB" or similar). Please include your gas information as well, if applicable. Back to the top
